The Great Northern Railway's second main line from Spokane to Vancouver (507 miles) is shown in this modified company map dated 1920. The shading represents the area covered in the map below, showing the the Fraser Valley's trackage in 1916 when GNR's 109-mile line from Vancouver to Hope was finally completed (with the help of the CNoR). From Hope, through the rugged Coquihalla Canyon, the GNR would use 54 miles of CPR-built trackage to Brookmere. |
