Port Mann Dock

A low tide exposes the remnants of Canadian Northern's Port Mann dock, set against the Port Mann Bridge and Douglas Island. The pilings continue out of view, testimony to the original size of the dock — built for large ocean-going vessels. A decade after construction, when the Canadian Northern was now part of Canadian National, better port facilities on the Fraser River were built further downstream at what is now Fraser Surrey Docks.
