Old Rails at Port Mann

Old Rails

A view of the century-old rails at Port Mann looking east towards the Port Mann Bridge. The trees on the left line the Fraser River, whose bank here is reinforced with the thick, broken walls of the old Canadian Northern Railway shop built ca. 1913 and razed in 1977. CN's back tracks and current shops -- and what would have been the Great Northern main line -- are out of view to the right. The track pictured was probably installed some time in the 1950's, and removed in 2002.
