At this time the Canadian Northern used joint Grand Trunk Pacific track from Geikie to Edmonton, comprised of both CNoR and GTP sections after consolidation of the two parallel lines began in 1917 (the rails were used for the war effort overseas). The shared stations at New Westminster and Vancouver (on Pender Street) were built by the Great Northern Railway; the stations at Geikie and Jasper were GTP's. Jasper is a flagstop westbound only; Louis Creek is a flagstop eastbound only; Matsqui is a flagstop westbound only. Port Kells renamed Westlang; Langley renamed Fort Langley; Sumas renamed Cox; Hell's Gate renamed Gorge; Mytton renamed Halston; St. Paul renamed Rayleigh; Mt. Olie renamed Little Fort; the Swift Creek station was later moved to Valemount; Clearwater had a station built in 1961. Information culled from the book Canadian National's Western Stations by Charles Bohi and Les Kozma, and reflects the station structures present at the time of the 1918 time table. The CNoR's grand station in Vancouver opened in 1919. In the Fraser Valley, shelters were built in the 1920's at Tynehead, Cannor and Smithvale.
